Founded in 1967

The Island People's Project was founded in 1967 as an educational day program that met on the baseball field. Its principal mission was to unite year-round residents with the summer community.

50+ years later

Thanks to your ongoing support, today, IPP manages natural spaces, sponsors cultural events and programs year-round, and continues to run The Morning Program, the island’s only summer day program for all our children.

With your help!

IPP looks forward to continuing its care for and oversight of Dock Beach and the baseball field, ‌and to bringing family-friendly events ‌and programs to our Fishers Island Community year round.‌
